While we were in
Kanab we visited the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. They take in homeless and hurt animals in hopes to rehabilitate them and adopt them back out, or release them back into the wild. They also film a show called Dog Town (National Geographic Channel) there.
We were really excited to visit the Feathered Friends at the sanctuary. They have a wild bird tour and a parrot tour. They currently have 1 BARN OWL and 3 GREAT HORNED OWLS that were amazing to see up close. All of these owls are permanent residents due to injuries significant enough to not be able to live in the wild anymore.
